Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and safety-focused Fire Safety Officer to oversee fire prevention measures, monitor safety compliance, conduct inspections, and ensure emergency preparedness within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of fire safety systems, emergency response procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and enforce fire safety policies and procedures across the workplace
* Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, sprinklers, and emergency systems
* Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, safety standards, and company policies
* Organize fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency response training
* Identify fire hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures
* Maintain records of inspections, incidents, maintenance, and safety audits
* Coordinate maintenance and testing of firefighting equipment and systems
* Investigate fire incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports
* Ensure emergency exits, signage, and evacuation routes are clear and functional
* Conduct safety awareness programs and toolbox talks for employees
* Coordinate with local fire authorities, contractors, and emergency services when required
* Support overall health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives
Required Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fire & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
* Certification in Fire Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred
* Strong knowledge of fire safety systems and emergency procedures
* Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
* Good communication and reporting skills
* Ability to respond effectively during emergencies
Preferred Skills
* Fire risk assessment and hazard identification
* Emergency response and evacuation planning
* Firefighting equipment inspection and maintenance
* Safety auditing and incident investigation
* Training and awareness program coordination
* Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Experience
* 2–5 years of experience in fire safety, HSE, or safety operations preferred
* GCC experience preferred (if applicable)
