Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong project planning, scheduling, and coordination skills with the ability to manage resources and project timelines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other planning tools
* Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines
* Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
* Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
* Identify delays, risks, and critical path activities and recommend corrective actions
* Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and project status updates
* Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource allocation
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
* Ensure compliance with project planning standards and company procedures
* Participate in project meetings and provide planning support
* Analyze project performance and suggest process improvements
* Maintain proper project documentation and planning records
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles
* Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office applications
* Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project activities
* Knowledge of construction/project management processes and standards
Preferred Skills
* Project scheduling and monitoring
* Critical path analysis and risk management
* Resource planning and cost tracking
* Reporting and documentation management
* Team coordination and stakeholder communication
* Problem-solving and analytical abilities
Experience
* 3–8 years of experience in project planning or scheduling roles preferred
* GCC experience preferred (if applicable)
