Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complete accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial statements, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. The role involves overseeing bookkeeping activities, managing ledgers, performing bank reconciliations, handling GST/TDS and tax filings, and ensuring timely closure of accounts. The Senior Accountant also supports financial planning and budgeting, monitors cash flow, and provides detailed financial reports to management for decision-making. In addition, the role includes supervising junior accounting staff, coordinating with auditors during audits, and ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all financial processes using accounting software such as Tally and MS Excel.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage complete books of accounts (GL, journals, ledgers)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow management
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and entries
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Oversee GST, TDS, and income tax compliance and filings
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow management
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and entries
